THE QUIET COLLECTION
IRWELL HILL RESIDENCES
THE BRIEF
The design began with a simple aspiration: to recreate the quiet elegance the clients experienced while living and travelling throughout Europe, translated into the context of a contemporary Singapore apartment. Their lifestyle is intentionally slow and intimate. Evenings are often spent sharing wine over quiet conversations, while weekends revolve around hosting close friends and family for small gatherings. Instead of pursuing luxury through ornamentation, the design explores luxury through restraint.
THE SPACE
The client lifestyle informed the spatial planning. Rather than allowing storage to dominate the compact footprint, every cabinet, wall and built-in element is carefully concealed and integrated into the architecture. This creates uninterrupted visual lines that enhance the perceived openness of the apartment while supporting both private moments and social gatherings. At the heart of the open-plan home sits a bespoke natural travertine dining table paired with a custom banquette settee that effortlessly accommodates shared meals and intimate gatherings. Material continuity is achieved through subtle shifts in texture – bronze metal accents, natural stone and timber veneers – revealing new details as daylight changes. They come together to create a layered environment that allows moments to be spent slowly and remembered comfortably.
The Quiet Collection celebrates intentional living, where everyday rituals are elevated through considered restraint.
